1. Introduction

Velox ("we", "us", "our") provides an AI-powered website builder. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Velox, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information we collect

Account information: when you sign up, we collect your name, email, and a password hash. If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive your basic profile from that provider.

Billing information: subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number, expiry, or CVC — we only store Stripe customer identifiers and a record of successful payments.

Generated content: the prompts, copy, design choices, and assets you create or upload while using Velox. We store this so the service can render, edit, and export your work.

Analytics cookies: only if you consent via our cookie banner. These cookies help us understand which features are used and where to focus improvements.

Support messages: anything you send us through the in-app contact form or email when asking for help.

Technical logs: basic server logs (IP address, user agent, request path) kept for a short period to keep the service secure and reliable.

3. How we use your information

To provide the Velox service — host your generated sites, store your projects, render your dashboard.

To process payments and manage your subscription.

To respond to support requests and account questions.

To improve the product: aggregate usage data, crash reports, and the prompts users send to our AI features help us fix bugs and ship better features.

To keep the service secure and prevent abuse (fraud detection, rate limiting, spam filtering).

We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not use your content to train third-party AI models.

4. Cookies and analytics

Velox uses a small number of cookies. Necessary cookies keep you signed in and remember your language. Analytics cookies only run if you accept them via the cookie banner.

You can change your choices at any time by opening Cookie Settings (sometimes also called "Manage Preferences" in the banner) and toggling each category.

5. Sharing your information

We share information with a small set of trusted processors who help us run Velox. The main one is Stripe, which processes subscription payments on our behalf. We also use infrastructure providers (such as our hosting and database providers) to store and deliver your content.

We may share information if required by law (subpoena, court order) or to respond to a credible safety request, but we will narrowly scope what we disclose.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to marketers or data brokers.

If Velox is ever acquired, your information may transfer to the new owner — we will notify you in advance where the law allows.

6. Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we need to keep a record of transactions for legal or tax reasons.

Generated content (sites, pages, prompts) is deleted with your account.

Analytics cookies are only stored if you consented to them, and you can withdraw consent at any time.

Backup copies of data are kept for a short period and then purged.

7. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, UK, or another jurisdiction with similar rules, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, correct inaccurate data, request deletion ("right to be forgotten"), export your data in a portable format, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent, and lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards: HTTPS, encrypted passwords, access controls on internal systems, and routine backup of project data.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your information protected and will notify affected users if a breach ever occurs.

9. Children

Velox is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will close the account and delete the data.

10. International transfers

Some of our processors (notably Stripe) may store or process data in countries outside your own. When data is transferred internationally, we rely on standard contractual safeguards (such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses) to keep your information protected.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Velox evolves. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. For material changes, we will give you reasonable notice (in-app banner or email where you have given us one).
